Our Ministry Project 6 is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing a supportive community for servicemembers. Through this project, we aim to foster a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and spiritual growth, creating a space where individuals can find solace, encouragement, and empowerment.
With The Sentinel, one of our key focus points is to be able to give back to the community . We do this by offering training. We don't teach all of it, but the online classes through the Newburgh Theological Seminary and the Federal Emergency Management Administration does. (FEMA) Our focus on the military community is to be able to provide emergency assistance should the need arise. NTS will be able to provide you with a college level education without having to have Student Loans. NTS has affordable classes and degrees focused around Emergency Management and other fields of study. FEMA has the necessary courses one must have to be able to work with any First Responder agency. At The Sentinel, we stress these aspects because the workers are few and the need is great.
Did you know that in Hampton Roads if you combined all the cities, towns and counties that make up Hampton Roads, we have more people here than Los Angeles? The Hampton Roads area is the second most vulnerable area in the United States in the event of a hurricane next to New Orleans. The workers are few. The People who come to be with us at The Sentinel will take the Love of Jesus back home to their communities, and they will have the knowledge to excite and empower, to be a difference for good in their communities whether they are here TDY or PCS.
